As climate negotiations go down to the wire, we’ve experienced a much higher volume of meetings on the Global Climate Change Meeting Platform this week than last.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, who spoke via Cisco TelePresence from the  Bella Center to President Lee Myung-Bak of South Korea.

South Korea’s major broadcasting stations were on hand at the Parliament building, capturing the conversation.  Scroll down on this page and watch the video for a front-row view of the proceedings.

So far, we’ve had meetings between the COP15 venue and six of the world’s seven continents.  We’ve had press conferences, ministerial meetings, sustainable business roundtables (check out the Guardian’s Sustainable Business page for full roundtable recordings), and donor events.  We’ve received dozens of reports of travel avoided because of the system.  And we continue to highlight Cisco TelePresence as a way for all parties involved in climate change discussions to “walk the talk” — to give up the private jets and use technologies like Cisco TelePresence to continuing working on global solutions.
