In this article Kerr makes many statements about the way that organisational and operating models will change over the next ten years; from the collapse of the “monogamous” worker to the connectedness of people and things. He highlights the need for this transition to managed, rather than left to evolve organically, so that security risks can be tracked and pacified along the way.

But with all the talk of companies needing to “break the mould” and embrace the flexible “working arrangements preferred by Millenials” what becomes of the traditionalists? Those that want to do a 9-5 and then switch off when they are at home? Can a balance be found? And will the different working style be able to work together?

  1. Some states have adopted a four day 10 hour work week. A three day weekend starting Friday. If I could do that I would.

      Do you think there are many benefits of a shorter work week? Do you think employees would be more engaged? Or do you think they would be out of the loop at work?

  2. From my point of view. Work hours weekly can get shorter. But, it depends on the employees to work as a “TEAM” and be more productive in that given shorter work day.

    GOOD/Positive TEAM = More Productivity = More work done in less time = More money.
