The year 2015 has been a very busy year for Cisco Data center Business Units. We are very pleased to end the year on a high note with the Gartner Data Center Conference at the Venetian, Dec 7-9.  As in previous years, this year’s conference offers attendees a number of exciting sessions and tracks on Data Center Infrastructure and Operations, what’s next in Virtualization, Cloud computing, SDN and other focus areas.

From a Cisco Data Center perspective, we have executive led speaker sessions and real-world demos in the Solutions Expo Hall, featuring key technologies such as Unified Computing System (UCS), Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), Private Cloud, Data Center Security etc., and more.

I want to draw your attention specifically towards Cisco ACI highlights at the show. First, I’d like to talk about Cisco Exec Soni Jiandani’s session featuring customer testimonials on how Cisco has delivered on the promise of SDN and how Cisco ACI’s open architecture and innovations have helped customers build more efficient and better networks. We also have Cisco Exec Frank Palumbo sharing his insights on Computing Strategy for the Changing World of Applications, Dec 9, 11.30 am, at the Venetian F.

Cisco’s senior leaders Todd Brannon and Fabio Gori are moderating a Vendor User Roundtable focused on how IT can prepare for the demands of the emerging Digital Enterprise. Mark this session in your calendar for Dec 7, 4 PM.

In conclusion, I want to share with you two cool and terrific ACI demos. Stop by Cisco booth 305 at the Expo Hall, and we are happy to share that we have a working example of Docker Containers and how Cisco ACI’s policy-based Network scales seamlessly for Physical, Virtual and Container based workloads.  You can learn from our booth experts, about contributions Cisco is making to Contiv, the open source Container Initiative.   We are also showcasing an ACI multi-hypervisor demo, which illustrates ACI’s capability to support a multi-vendor, hypervisor-based and bare-metal server based workloads and how policy can be applied across different hypervisors, all from a single Cisco APIC management dashboard.

There are several other Cisco Data Center demos which will keep you busy at our booth. Our experts will be happy to assist you in your specific requirements, and we also have whisper suites available to engage you one-one in a deep-dive type conversation, should you so desire.

Have a great show, and see you there Monday.
