‘Om’nidirectional Nexus

- March 24, 2008 - 0 Comments

Was just reading this article on GigaOm about the Nexus 7000 as a sort of mutated blade server chassis. I wanted to reply to it that there isn’t much possibility of the Nexus 7000 as a server platform itself, although it, I believe, is one of the best Server Interconnect platforms ever delivered. 🙂 Interesting conjecture, but doubt we’ll see that as an evolutionary path unless there is a major reduction in power draw for both CPUs and DRAM. dg
