Crazy Cabling Contest Winners

March 28, 2011
at 1:14 pm PST

So, we have some winners for our Crazy Cabling Contest. I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to submit an entry and took the time to vote. It was a hard-fought battle, but here are the victors:

First Place
Second Place
Third Place
Honorable Mention
Honorable Mention

So, we promised to keep the actual winner anonymous, but we will be contacting you in the next few days to get you your prizes.

If you check out the winning pictures and the other on our Facebook page, you get an idea of why we have gotten such strong uptake on our unified fabric message. I/O sprawl in the DC has some very real costs associated with in in terms of both capital and operating expenses. About 1/3 of our Nexus switches ship with the FCoE license which is strong validation for that technology, but across the board, we see customers taking a hard look at convergence whether it be FCoE based or IP based.

For more details on unified fabric solutions you can click here. You can also register here for a live event to discuss our newest data center innovations.

  4. I think that patch panel hanging from above makes the first one a little crazier then the second. but the second is more visually "busy"
Wow, makes me feel better about my crazy cables :)

    • I see what you mean, and you're right. The second pic has a worse case of spaghetti (cabling) though, which is what the contest is about if I'm not mistaken ;)
