blah blah cloud
I just returned from a great week of EMC World in Vegas. The fine folks at EMC make crazy good technology and they can throw one heck of a party…I mean conference. The week was full of interesting people, big ideas, big data and of course the cloud.
At the Cisco booth we gave away 200 “blah blah cloud” shirts. These shirts have become quite popular and will most likely make an appearance at some conferences later this year. So, if you don’t have one, don’t fret – you just might get another opportunity.
One thing that has been pointed out to me is the fact that folks struggle with the message of the shirt. I guess that’s poignant, since most of us struggled with the message of cloud when it became the IT term de jour. So, without further ado here’s what we were trying to express with the shirt.
The front is pretty straightforward. Everyone is talking about cloud. There is a lot of chatter around cloud and how to get ‘there’. The signal to noise ratio is very low and the cacophony of voices turns into a dull “blah blah” then…”CLOUD”. Ah…..now it’s very clear. I think we all can relate to the front.
The back is an attempt to show that while there is much talk around the possibilities and the benefits of cloud computing, Cisco Systems can get you there now. We have the talent, technology and eco-system partners to help you on your journey to the cloud.
