Thousands of military personnel will transition from uniform to civilian life in the coming years — about 1 million between now and September 2016, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

A Cisco priority is to help these men and women find meaningful jobs and educational opportunities that match their skills and interests after their service to our country is over.

One way we do this is through our annual Veterans Corporate Technology Day (VCTD) event, to be held at three Cisco campuses in California, North Carolina, and Texas on Tuesday, November 13.

This event connects active duty and transitioning military personnel with the people and resources that can help them get started on a career in the technology industry. For example, attendees will learn about how the Cisco Networking Academy can prepare them for entry-level careers, further education, and tech industry certifications.

Attendees at our San Jose, California event will also have the opportunity to conduct live and virtual interviews via Cisco WebEx.
