Did you know that by the end if 2012, videos will account for 50 percent of all Internet traffic?

Online videos are powerful storytelling tools. Many nonprofits are using them to attract donors and volunteers, and to multiply the impact they can have on the people and communities they serve.

As a sponsor of the 2012 DoGooder Nonprofit Awards, Cisco will get a chance to recognize four nonprofits that have successfully used video to create meaningful, positive change.

Cisco will provide $14,000 in cash prizes and up to $6,000 in products to be divided amongst the winning nonprofits in the following categories:

Nonprofits from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia can submit their videos between now and February 29.

Judges will select 16 finalists, and the winners will be chosen by public voting between March 15 and March 28.
Read the official contest rules and submit your videos for the 2011 DoGooder Nonprofit Video Contest!

  3. Too bad this only applies to US/Canada based nonprofits. I have seen a great deal of traffic coming from Youtube. I think Youtube stand in the regions of FB and other social media in terms of addiction. Many people have a Youtube addiction and spend hours browsing videos. It is a huge channel for driving targeted traffic to your website, offer or landing page.

    • The contest is also open to nonprofits in the UK and Australia. And, anyone around the world can get on YouTube and vote, starting around March 14.

  4. The need for NPOs to tell their story visually has grown tremendously! Thanks for recognizing this. – Suzanne St. John-Crane, Executive Director, CreaTV San Jose
