The human network is a powerful concept and it’s hard not to come across examples of its effect in action. The social networking site BlackCardCircle.com (currently in private beta) is one such example. I first learned about Black Card Circle on Twitter where the founder, Lotay Yang is extremely active and influential. Black Card Circle is essentially creating a human network of what they affectionately call “CIAs: Connectors, Influencers and Alphas.” One’s qualifications as a “CIA” depend on an individual’s financial capital and/or social influence. The Black Circle Foundation is the philanthropic leg of the community. They put the human network ‘effect’ in action by bringing together positive social change and business execution to benefit society. While attending CES in early January of this year, I met up with Mr. Yang to learn more about what differentiates BlackCardCircle.com from other social networks. Excellent idea, these inner circles have always existed though, maybe if your lucky you can merge with them or vise versa once your group reaches an appropriate influential status.

This seems a good concept. It has always been a few who have inspired the greatest change, like the true saints of various traditions. I hope the work you do will include the spiritual health of people, as well as other basic needs of humanity. So often we focus on “symptoms†instead of the actual root cause of the issues we face. We are in a time of accelerated spiritual growth which brings with it great opportunity for change. Our overall success as a race is directly proportional to our spiritual maturity. I do not believe the maturity I speak of can come through churches or any particular religion or instruction or reading of books. It must come through personal experience of the common man via some inward practice, which is meditative in nature.
