Cisco @ CES 2009: New Connected Life Technologies!
Today, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Cisco unveiled multiple products and announcements that will enable a more connected lifestyle. Some of the products, like the Linksys by Cisco Wireless Home Audio system and Media Hub are for sale directly to consumers.
The Wireless Home Audio system and the Media Hub look like they’ve come straight from a Digital Cribs webisode. These products make it convenient to uniquely manage and design the way you enjoy the media and entertainment on your home network.
Greg Memo, VP/GM, for products from Cisco Consumer Business Group, gives an overview of the Media Hub and Wireless Home Audio launches at CES.
To facilitate the increasing capabilities of the home network, Cisco announces the launch of the Cisco Device Connections Program, creating a community of vendors whose products can work with the Cisco home network infrastructure so customers can experience the ultimate media enabled home.
By leveraging your media enabled home, or the web, consumers can enjoy the Cisco Eos platform through service providers. Cisco Eos is a hosted, white-label software platform that allows service providers to connect consumers with media laden online communities dedicated to their favorite media and entertainment companies.
Scott Brown, Marketing Strategist for the Cisco Media Solutions Group discusses the Cisco Eos social media platform highlighted during CES 2009. To learn more about the Cisco Eos platform, check out their blog DigMediaRev.
