WebEx a Top Biz App for iPad 2: Oh Yeah, Mobility Rocks

Smile for the camera, WebEx can now share your video on the iPad 2!

Get the App!

Using WebEx Mobile delivers new freedom for anyone wanting to stay productive while not be tied to his or her computer. WebEx Mobile lets you meet anywhere you have Internet access via Apple’s iPad or your Smartphone including Android and the iPhone. Learn more here.

iPad 2 WebEx Video Experience is Outstanding

Using the iPad2, now with two cameras, lets WebEx users experience two-way group video conferencing. That means you’ll see full screen video that switches dynamically based on who is talking. Don’t worry about how you look; you can see yourself on camera before you start broadcasting. Other WebEx features like scheduling, hosting, chat and sharing are available.

So far, the feedback we are hearing online has been great!

  • @realmattross: Cisco WebEx app for iPad is ludicrously cool
  • @maddchadd OMG! I can’t believe I never thought of WebExing on an iPad. It MUST b truly transcendent experience.
  • @tommytian: App Store iPad App of the Week: WebEx for iPad: WebEx for iPad – Cisco’s iPad app that lets you attend WebEx http://t.co/cBdEknf
  • Petr Ruzicka (on Facebook) Amazing! Now I need new iPad ;)

Make sure your software is compatible.

The family of WebEx Mobile applications are new and quickly being adapted to keep pace with device enhancements. As a result, mobile video conferencing requires updated software to support these new applications. If your company has a WebEx account, it needs to be running version WBS27.17 or higher (click here for instructions on how to check your site’s version). In company-wide deployments, certain restrictions may apply based on your company’s policies and WebEx implementation.

Have you tried WebEx on the new iPad 2?

  3. Great app. Very easy to use and does the job! Would be nice if full-screen 1080p was enabled while using the iPad video out to our conference room display.
