Valued Partner Ecosystem is Key in Quest to be #1 in Customer Collaboration

In today’s changing marketplace, Cisco continues to invest in an aggressive plan to become the #1 vendor in contact center. In the last year, we’ve made huge gains toward this milestone, with Cisco ranked as the #1 worldwide IVR vendor by a wide margin. And in the last four years, Cisco has closed the market share gap on Avaya/Nortel by nearly 23 points worldwide and by over 33 points in North America.

On our march towards #1, our valued partner ecosystem plays a crucial role. When customers choose Cisco Customer Collaboration solutions, they base their choice not only on our innovative products, but also on their ability to collaborate with established Cisco partners who have a wealth of experience in the contact center market and our solutions. By partnering with Cisco, Cisco channel partners are able to provide customers tremendous value add services, including sales and technical support.

Cisco is continuing to invest heavily in training, supporting and growing our partner ecosystem.  And the investment is clearly paying off. For the last 3 years, Cisco has hosted the annual Cisco Americas Customer Collaboration Partner Sales Summit, with the most recent one held on October 2-4 in Colorado. During this Summit, more than 400 channel partners and Cisco sales professionals gathered under one roof to participate in networking and learning opportunities while sharing best practices with their peers. There were informative sessions tailored for every audience, including Contact Center Enterprise and Express sales tracks, deep dives for the more technical attendees, as well as general sessions for a full house audience. The expo floor was jam-packed with 21 sponsors demonstrating complementary solutions. There were plenty of networking opportunities for attendees to meet new business contacts as well as catch up with old friends.

Cisco even hosted a contact center industry mixer, where we invited all local contact center experts and even our competition from “down the road”, to meet and mingle with attendees. This year’s event attendance and program activities doubled in numbers, and near perfect evaluation scores from attendees validated the success.

As our momentum continues in the Customer Collaboration market, collaboration with our partner ecosystem will be vital in our quest to become the #1 supplier in the market. And I couldn’t be more excited to accomplish this significant milestone with our valued partners.
