See the Difference! Video Explodes on WebEx Training Center

One of the challenges of online training is making sure your audience is involved. “Reading the room” is possible with webcams, but until now, that video has been less than optimal.

But we have good news: we have retooled our product to bring high-quality video to Training Center; offering a more natural class environment with dynamic face-to-face interaction. We have also streamlined the user interface to make using Training Center even easier.

HQ video allows instructors to demonstrate clearly products, procedures and concepts. With just a click, you can use your camera to show participants how to do the task rather than just show photos or rely on oral descriptions. At the same time, your participants can see your body language while you teach -- which is essential for some types of learners.

As an instructor, you may also want to see how your participants are reacting to your content. The video experience includes Active Speaker switching, which is similar to Cisco’s TelePresence, which allows video to switch automatically to the speaker so the conversation is fluid and natural as you follow who is talking. If focus is required, the host can also lock in on one presenter.

Interactivity is critical to effective online instruction and WebEx Training Center now is the most interactive training solution on the market today. In addition to HQ video, Training Center also offers built-in ecommerce for registration, breakout sessions, hands-on labs, threaded Q&A, polling, testing and more. We’ll be at the conference demonstrating the new version of Training Center and happily answering your questions.

Technically speaking, here are the details.

HQ video offers higher resolution up to 360p (640x360) pixel resolution up to 30 frames per second. This new functionality is built upon the new H.264 standard  It’s easy to use and automatically adjusts video quality for each participant according to their network bandwidth (different users can send and receive different resolutions). Users just need a webcam or digital video camera – no additional setup required.

  • Display flexibility – full screen mode or thumbnails.
  • Shows up to six thumbnails at a time; scroll to see more.
  • Note:  HQ video available only in the main session.
