I just returned from our premier customer event, Cisco Live, where I had the opportunity to spend time with customers from Istanbul, New York, San Jose, Singapore and more. Many of our conversations centered on how collaboration is a must-have, and more importantly, the different ways it pays off.
What I found most interesting is the universal belief that the value of collaboration is often immeasurable and subjective but vital to companies’ ability to set themselves apart from their competition. There are the obvious operational returns, like travel cost savings. But during my conversations with our customers, it seems as though more and more, the qualitative returns — like increasing customer intimacy, reducing cycle time, and finding the best person for the right job — are becoming ever more important.
