We have suggested him to go with cisco 802.11 controler and Aironet 12xx AP as the access to the wifi while Wimax looks to soon for us.

Our Cisco Digital Media Players (DMPs) currently support 802.11 b/g wireless, to enable customers with additional flexibility to easily deploy and relocate digital signs in their campus environments. However, we currently do not have any plans to support WiMax for our digital signage solution.
