Last week, Cisco Digital Media Systems (DMS) wrapped up another year at the world’s largest international trade show and conference dedicated to digital signage – the Digital Signage Expo 2011, held in Las Vegas. This year’s event came at an exciting time, just as Cisco was able to announce its 3000-customer milestone in digital signage and our market leadership in this bourgeoning industry after just four short years since joining the market in 2007.

In addition, we were thrilled to receive four Apex Awards, handed out by the Digital Signage Federation. Bringing in the gold award was …

… our StadiumVision deployment with the New Meadowlands Stadium (event venues category), a deployment consisting of over 2000 HD digital signs that greatly enhance the fan experience – whether rooting for the New York Jets or Giants, which both call New Meadowlands home. We also brought home silver awards for our deployments with NASDAQ (business, industry & government category) and JW Marriott Marquis Miami (hospitality category); and a bronze for our deployment at West Texas A&M University (education category).

This year’s competition was intense, and we are honored to be recognized, along with our customers, for innovation and excellence in the digital signage industry.
