Bringing Together Mobile and Immersive Video

- April 18, 2013 - 0 Comments

People often ask me what the future of room based immersive systems looks like, as more and more of us have the ability to launch a video call available, quite literally, at our fingertips – on our tablets, mobiles and laptops.

I recently spent some time with a colleague of mine, Richard Mullen, musing over the opportunities and challenges, looking specifically at three important areas for consideration…

  1. Interoperability – the minimum requirement to be able to share video, audio and content from any device
  2. Experience – what is the right system to use for the type of internal, customer or partner engagement you are having? How do you ensure each participant gets the best possible experience for the particular device / room system they are using at any given time?
  3. Intelligence – how can we build intelligence into our systems, so that the different devices and end-points we have can complement each other to augment the collaboration experience and make meetings more productive?

Take a look at the video to see our thoughts on how immersive and mobile video collaboration solutions will work together to support continued business transformation.
