Cisco IT is excited to introduce the Cisco on Cisco blog. For several years, Cisco has shared IT deployment best practices through case studies published on the Cisco on Cisco website. While we’ll continue to do that, blogging opens up an exciting, interactive way for Cisco IT to engage in direct conversations with our customers and all IT users.  We asked Lance Perry, Vice President of Information Technology, to share his vision of our blog.

We’ll  be blogging about the Cisco “IT journey,” that is, how Cisco  uses its own products and solutions to lead in important architectural plays like virtualization, collaboration, and borderless networks.  Our IT experts will share what they know about  Cisco data center, routing and switching, unified communications, collaboration technologies, and a lot more. And we’ll share the business drivers, knowledge gained, and lessons learned from deploying our own solutions.  Most importantly, as Lance says in his video, we want this to be a two-way conversation between Cisco IT and you.
 
So here is the first in a long series of helpful and important exchanges between Cisco IT experts, customers, partners, and  network technology users everywhere.
