Hi Keith,We have 4 fiber optic networking/infrastructure patents that the inventor claims will do for the FO industry what Cisco did for the Internet. We will use these patents for our new fiber optic (middle and last mile) infrastructures. This opens a new world for FO networking. Now, looking around in the world of next generation switching... I am interested in 10 GbE switches. The issue here is that it should be for residential and office users, i.e. fiber to the home/office at 10 Gbps per connection. So, I asked many people the following: (see linkedin - http://tr.im/s8vg) 1. What do you think will be the cost per port (10 GbE) in the next 12, 24, 36 months respectively? 2. How can you configure this (qua port density per switch, switching frames, plant etc.) best? I left out the 3rd and 4th questions because they would not be something you like. ;-)I thank you in advance. Regards, Neal neal AT iuhba DOT com Company site: http://iuhba.com Company blog: http://glassified.wordpress.com
