Virtual Tour of the 2010 Virtual Partner Summit

April 12, 2010
at 12:00 pm PST

Cisco Partner Summit 2010 starts in just two short weeks and you won’t even have to leave the comfort of your office to attend. No, Cisco hasn’t invented teleportation (yet), but the Virtual Partner Summit is the next-best thing.

Cisco Virtual Partner Summit kicks off on April 27 and extends through May 28. The virtual Partner Summit world is dynamic and interactive, providing access to a wide range of content, tweets, activities, networking, and news from the event. Throughout this environment, we’ll showcase the ways in which virtual collaboration is enabling business growth for our partners.

Now, follow along and join me for a virtual tour of the Virtual Partner Summit…

Visiting the Virtual Partner Summit: Welcome!

When you first enter Virtual Partner Summit, you’ll be greeted by our friendly avatar and tour guide Luanne Tierney, Vice President of Partner Marketing.

The Virtual Partner Summit Directory next to her shows the various places you can visit around the virtual environment, such as live streaming of keynotes, breakout sessions, executive chat sessions, collaboration forums, and the social media community Channels Buzz — all without having to ever hop on a plane. (You’ll also be able to navigate using links on the white bar along the top of the page.)

Lounge

Visit this casual networking space to network and watch video chats.

The Auditorium

Visit the auditorium to select which general and breakout sessions you wish to attend. You can watch John Chambers, Keith Goodwin, and other Cisco executives deliver keynote speeches live from Partner Summit.

Virtual Breakout Rooms

The Virtual Breakout Rooms are aligned with the breakout sessions taking place during the live event. Visit all 22 Virtual Breakout Rooms to chat live with subject matter experts and download program collateral.

Channels Buzz Community

Channels Buzz is the official social media platform for Partner Summit 2010 and features a video contest, engaging discussions, up-to-the-minute news, videos, tweets, and information for live and virtual attendees. The community is already active now, so jump in, create your profile, get a sneak peek of the event, and get involved with the discussions. Be sure to watch the video tour posted in the announcements area at the top to learn how to navigate and use the community. Don’t miss out. Log into Channels Buzz and set up your profile today!

Channels Buzz — Video Contest

All partners, whether onsite or virtual, are encouraged to upload their own videos. We’ll also be holding a video contest, so stay tuned for details closer to the event.
