Aside from technical sessions, keynotes, and fun evening events, Cisco Live had a bustling show floor with lots of companies showing off devices, software, hardware, and gadgets.
We took a tour around the World of Solutions and here’s our roundup of the coolest, geekiest devices we saw this week.
Check out the full list of what we saw, complete with links and more details.
Pretty Up Your Access Points with Tessco
If you don’t want access points messing with your décor, Tessco Technologies has the cure. Ceiling tile enclosures let you securely put an access point in where you need it without having to punch a hole in the ceiling or rewiring. It’s also great for hospitals where disease prevention is top priority.
Content Delivery and on-the-Go Learning with Tech 2000
Cisco Learning Partner Tech 2000, Inc. has learning options and content delivery. Tech 2000 showed us LearnCast tools it created for Cius, smartphone, PC, or Mac to deliver content to your teams to help boost sales.
Samsung’s Super Neat WebEx Integration
If you take WebEx calls on the road, you’ll love Samsung’s Galaxy phones. Our friends at the Samsung booth showed us lightweight Galaxy smartphones that were truly integrated with WebEx. Install the Android WebEx app on the phone and it will automatically give you the option of starting a WebEx call when you bring up your contacts list. (Excellent for people like me who live on WebEx.)
Is that a Cloud in Your Pocket?
WYSE puts the cloud with you in your pocket with PocketCloud, a mobile app for Android tablets and phones, available in the Cisco AppHQ.
VMware’s New View
VMware showed off cool products end user computing and Cisco VXI with VMware View. We also saw Cius clients running the latest Vue clients (which aren’t released, though we did get a sneak peek). Last but not least, VMware announced VSphere 5 and cloud infrastructure this past Tuesday.
