Today Cisco will be replacing its current HP print services with Xerox Managed Print Services (MPS), a more cost-effective way to produce and manage documents across all 460 of our offices.
Cisco is embracing the future of MPS, using managed print and cloud ITO services, to work within our company’s existing infrastructure, supporting multiple locations and mobile technologies.
By working and partnering with Xerox, we can further enable an anytime, anywhere, any device mobility strategy for our employees, as they won’t have any barriers to printing when they’re on the road. We’re making sure they don’t have to spend unnecessary time on print-related tasks when they’re in the office, too.
What does this mean for Cisco partners?
Last May, we announced Cisco’s important alliance with Xerox to bring the company’s market-leading managed print and cloud IT outsourcing (ITO) services to customers over Cisco’s intelligent network infrastructure.
Both companies will arm channel partners with solutions that help businesses extend their existing IT investments to improve performance and reduce costs.
We’re using Xerox products at our own offices because we believe in them and partners have the same ability to bring new capabilities in print management and cloud IT outsourcing to customers. Xerox and Cisco solutions mean customers can increase efficiencies in their own print environments.
And, as more of our customers move to the cloud, our channel partners can add cloud printing services using Xerox MPS running on Cisco networks. This means employees can securely print from any device, anytime, anywhere without downloading software, mapping to a printer or booting up their laptops.
A few weeks ago at an industry conference, I had the opportunity to meet with Xerox CEO Ursula Burns to discuss the significant work we are doing together to create a truly intelligent network for customers. And, with Xerox managed printing service technologies, partners now have a clearer path to securely transition customers to the cloud, help improve employee productivity, and address printing needs, whether staff is in the office or on the road.
