Mr. Adamo, Senior Vice President for Cisco’s Service Provider business in the United States, drives Cisco’s overall relationship, investment and growth strategy in the ILEC/ RBOC, Cable, Mobile Wireless, Emerging Carriers and IXC Markets. He leads a team of over 1,000 people and has revenue responsibility in excess of $4 Billion annually.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Adamo was Vice President of the US ILEC market and responsible for the company strategy and overall business relationships with the largest Incumbent Local Exchange Carriers.

Mr. Adamo previously held key positions in the Enterprise market for Cisco, including the position of Vice President of the Northeast Area - responsible for the field Enterprise Sales Organization spanning New York City and State, New England, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Additionally, Mr. Adamo was Operations Director of the Global Finance Operation for Cisco Systems in New York City where he managed the global relationship of Cisco’s largest banking, brokerage and market-data customers in New York City.

Before joining Cisco in July 1995 as an Account Executive supporting Merrill Lynch, Mr. Adamo spent eleven years with IBM in sales and sales management assignments in the Finance Industry.

Mr. Adamo is Cisco’s Board representative to ATIS – Alliance for Telecommunication’s Industry Solutions – and currently serves as Second Vice Chairman. ATIS is a United States body that is committed to rapidly developing and promoting technical and operations standards for the communications and related information technologies industry.

Complementing his professional affiliations, Mr. Adamo donates his time and is a member of the Board of Inwood House, a not-for-profit organization designed to raise money and awareness of the growing problem of pregnancy among high-risk teens in the New York City Area. What began as his managing a holiday toy drive in 1999, became his chairing Inwood House’s first Corporate Advisory Board. The board is comprised of more than 30 NYC private sector executives focused on providing resources, corporate awareness and guidance to this 175 year old NYC institution.

Mr. Adamo was recognized by Crain’s New York Business Magazine in May, 2001 as one of the top 100 most influential IT executives in NYC.

Mr. Adamo holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Engineering from Columbia University. He and his wife, Kim, reside in Holmdel, New Jersey, with their three daughters.
