Alain is a 25 year veteran of the networking industry and has been with Cisco Systems for 14 years.  He is currently the Senior Director leading the Product Management team, Systems Architecture and Marketing in NSSTG – the division responsible for developing Cisco networking software (IOS™).

His group of world class, IP networking industry experts addresses customer requirements for their ever-increasing complex and dynamic networking environments. This exceptionally skilled team architects the technologies and systems that help customers resolve new challenges through the IOS roadmap.

His team is involved from “definition to delivery” of theses architectures, along with the technology development and product engineering groups across Cisco. Their active participation in IETF, IEEE, ITU and other industry standardization groups designate Alain and team as core contributors to Cisco’s standards strategy.

Fiocco joined Cisco in 1995 as a Technology Consultant, and has been involved in some of the largest design projects commissioned by European Service Providers.

The scope of his accomplishments includes expertise in access, edge and IP core technology products. He actively participates in the definition, specification and deployment of innovative services and related technologies.  For several years he led the Product and Technology Marketing teams managing Cisco’s extensive product lines across all customer segments (Service Provider, Enterprise and Commercial) in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

In 2006, Alain relocated from France to Cisco Corporate in San Jose, California.  He and his family currently enjoy residing in The Bay Area.
