Seth Hanford is the Operations Team Lead for IntelliShield, one of multiple groups that are part of Cisco Security Intelligence Operations. The IntelliShield team produces vulnerability and threat analysis reports, and collaborates with other security teams across Cisco such as the IPS Signature team and Cisco PSIRT. Seth also contributes regularly to operational and strategic intelligence content on the Cisco Security Center portal, such as Event Responses and the weekly Cyber Risk Report.
Seth is an active member of the Common Vulnerability Scoring System Special Interest Group (CVSS-SIG) at FIRST, where he helped to make improvements to bring CVSS from v1 and v2. He continues to work with the SIG to bring continual improvement in the effectiveness, adoption, and use of the CVSS standard.
He holds the CISSP certification, a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, and a M.S. in Information Assurance.
Seth and his wife reside in an old farmhouse in rural Ohio.
