Paolo Perazzo is a Senior Product Line Manager in the Data Center Switching Technology Group at Cisco. Since 2003, Paolo has been responsible for the MDS 9000 Family of Storage Networking Switches, a product line that has grown from pre-revenue to over half a billion in annual revenue in just 5 years. During this period, he has brought to market several generations of highly innovative products and industry-first features, which enabled MDS to reach market leadership in the modular segment in 2005. Paolo is also involved in broader initiatives around Data Center Unified Fabric and Virtualization at Cisco which are driving multi-billion product strategies around the company.
Previously, Paolo was at Andiamo Systems, a storage networking company acquired by Cisco in 2004, as part of the original engineering team. At Andiamo, he covered multiple roles and responsibilities during the complete product development cycle, including software and system architecture, software development, product management, program management, outbound marketing, and channel development.
Paolo holds a Master of Science in Telecommunication Engineering from Politecnico, University of Turin, Italy. He is also passionate about Web 2.0 technologies, search, collaboration, mobile, and consumer technologies.
