Senior Director, Worldwide Service Provider Marketing

Peggy Ballard is Senior Director of Worldwide Service Provider Marketing for Cisco. In her role, Peggy is responsible for the marketing strategy and execution of trade shows, exhibitions and events for Cisco’s Service Provider Group on a global scale. Peggy is also responsible for driving Cisco’s Service Provider Web strategy, focusing on Web 2.0 social media and networking.

A well-respected leader among her peers, Peggy was honored as part of Multichannel News’ 2009 “Wonder Woman” class and recognized as one of the “Top 50 Women in Cable” by CableFAX/CableWorld in 2006.  She was also selected as a finalist for “Best Corporate Communications Executive” in the 2004 and 2005 American Business Awards (The “Stevies”), and was honored as ‘Mentor of the Year’ at the Women in Cable and Telecommunications Atlanta Chapter (WICT) second annual Red Letter Awards in 2005.

Peggy formerly held the position of Vice President, Strategic Communications for Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco Company. Prior to joining Scientific Atlanta in 1995, she served in senior communications roles at leading technology companies including Hayes Microcomputer Products, Inc., and Savin Corporation.

Peggy is as an executive consultant to the cable industry in many capacities, and currently serves as the President of the Association of Cable Communicators (ACC), the only national, professional organization specifically addressing the issues, needs and interests of the cable industry’s communications and public affairs professionals. She serves as a member of the National Cable and Telecommunications Association (NCTA) Public Policies Board, and is also an active member of the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM), Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT), and the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
