Stephen Liu currently serves as Senior Manager of Service Provider Marketing for Routing and Switching at Cisco. His responsibilities include worldwide product and solution marketing for the entire Service Provider routing, switching, and optical portfolio.
Stephen joined Cisco in 1995 as part of the Kalpana Ethernet Switching acquisition. Since then he has held a variety of positions in Customer Advocacy, Engineering, Technical Marketing, and Solution Marketing. In the past, he has co-chaired standards body efforts in Voice-Over-IP with IMTC and ETSI TIPHON and contributed to authoring “Fundamentals of VoIP” by Cisco Press. Now, he enjoys leading innovative ways to use social media as a marketing tool. Most recently, he is the creator of the educational Cisco myPlanNet simulation game.
Stephen holds a degree in Electrical Engineering – Communication Systems with two minors in History and Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. He is Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert #2430.
