Worldwide Technology Partners Organization
Simon Hayes is Vice President, Technology Partners organization for Cisco’s Worldwide Partner Organization.
He oversees a portfolio of Cisco’s most significant technology alliances including Microsoft, Oracle, Intel, Fujitsu. In addition he is responsible for developing and managing ecosystems of partners that support Cisco’s market solutions in cloud computing, intelligent mobile devices and video. These include partnerships with industry leaders such as Nokia and Motorola.
Mr. Hayes joined Cisco in 1997 to negotiate the company’s first alliance with systems integrator BearingPoint. During his 13 years with Cisco’s Strategic Alliances’ organization, he developed and managed some of the most successful alliance partnerships, including Accenture, Capgemini, EDS, EMC, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Microsoft and VMware.
Mr. Hayes oversaw Cisco’s pioneering program for solution co-development with alliance partners -- a key part of Cisco’s award-winning alliance program, He also pioneered an innovative financial measurement model to track progress called “net incremental value.” The metric looks at revenue generated from solutions and programs initialized and driven by the alliance partner relationship.
Before joining Cisco, Mr. Hayes held various management positions in sales and marketing at HP, including global manager for HP’s strategic integrator program. Prior to that he served as an engineering officer in the British Royal Navy.
Mr. Hayes studied electrical engineering at King’s College, University of London, and is a graduate of Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth. He is married with three sons.
