Robert Waitman serves as a Senior Partner within Cisco’s Financial Services consulting practice, and is Global Lead for Cisco’s Wealth Management practice. Robert brings over 20 years experience in technology and financial services, with a focus on productivity and improvements in the client experience through network-based applications and innovations.
Robert’s recent work has led to significant business improvements for customers and established Cisco as a trusted adviser with senior executives. For example, his cross-functional work with several top financial institutions has identified and prioritized over $100 million of improvement opportunities related to employee-facing network applications.
Prior to joining Cisco, Robert was an associate principal at McKinsey & Company in New York, where he focused on strategy, technology, and payment issues facing financial institutions. He has published numerous articles on these topics in The McKinsey Quarterly and other journals. He began his career at Morgan Stanley, providing technology support for equities and fixed income trading.A native of North Carolina, Robert holds a BSE in Computer Science from Princeton University, an MBA in Finance and Masters in Operations Research from Columbia University, and a JD from Harvard Law School. He lives in Rockland County, NY with his wife Shira and five children.
