Martin is technical lead of threat intelligence within Cisco's Talos Security Intelligence and Research Group. CISSP certified and a Chartered Engineer, Martin started his career researching the genetics of human viruses before switching focus to network security. He frequently delivers expert opinion on emerging threats, the risks they present and how to manage these to protect companies, people and information. In his spare time, he enjoys combining digital photography with Victorian chemical processes and exhibiting his prints.

Through research projects, publications, presentations, and other front-facing activities, the expert threat researchers and analysts on the Cisco Talos team help Cisco customers, the security community, industry, and the public understand the value of Cisco SIO and the early-warning intelligence, threat, and vulnerability analysis its researchers provide.
