Mahal Mohan is Senior Director - Collaboration Infrastructure Technology Group, where he leads the engineering teams in US and UK responsible for Video conferencing infrastructure as well as the Service Provider infrastructure engineering and product management teams. He is responsible for executing Cisco’s vision of unified conferencing and for product strategy and execution enabling service providers worldwide to offer TelePresence and video collaboration as a Service.
Prior to his current assignment Mahal led the creation and wide market adoption of Cisco’s Unified Communications and Collaboration Management product suite. He led M&A activity together with Corporate Development leading to the acquisition of Digital Fairway and Qovia assets by Cisco.
Mahal started his career at Bell Laboratories and led multiple engineering and product management teams at Bell Labs and AT&T. Prior to joining Cisco he led the product management organizations in San Francisco Bay Area start ups delivering innovative products in video content distribution and unified communications.
Mahal has a Ph D in Physics from State University of New York, Stony Brook.
