Mobile Internet Architecture
As Vice President of the Mobile Internet Architecture at Cisco, Kit is responsible for strategic business and technical engagements with top mobile operators worldwide. He also leads the go-to-market efforts for Cisco’s industry-leading mobile internet solutions and oversees the vision, strategy, and execution of Cisco’s SP mobility business.
Over the past two years, Kit has led a global effort to drive innovation leadership and scale Cisco’s presence in mobile internet deployments. He speaks regularly about Cisco’s M.O.VE Framework, designed to help mobile operators monetize and optimize the mobile internet while enhancing the video experience. Kit was a lead member of the team that drove the acquisition and integration of Starent Networks, which significantly increased Cisco’s customer presence and mindshare in mobility.
Previously, Kit was responsible for Cisco’s relationship with Verizon Wireless, the largest mobile operator in the United States. Under his leadership, Cisco partnered closely with Verizon to define the 3GPP LTE standards, build the world’s largest and most scalable mobile core network, and deploy innovative IP-based solutions to expand the reach of the mobile internet to both business and consumer customers. He also led the team that won the first Cisco ASR 9000 franchise in the company.
Kit joined Cisco through the acquisition of dynamicsoft, a pioneer of SIP and IMS solutions, where he was the Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Prior to that, he held multiple roles in sales and sales management in the communications and computer industries.
Kit holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Computer Science from Gettysburg College.
He currently resides in the UK with his wife and three daughters.
