Joseph Sulistyo is a Product Marketing Manager for Cisco Application Delivery Business Unit, which manages the Wide Area Application Service (WAAS) solution. His responsibilities include managing the inbound and outbound marketing strategy of Cisco WAN Optimization solution in relation to the four key areas of product cycles: product conception, product development, product launch, and product sustaining stages.

He started his career with Cisco in 2004 as Systems Engineer responsible for network design consultation, product implementation, product troubleshooting, and network problem diagnostic for enterprise customers in healthcare, manufacturing, education, and financial verticals. From here, his career has taken a variety of turns as he began specializing in data center technology, focused in the Layer 4 to Layer 7 solutions. He then joined Cisco US Data Center Channels team as consulting engineer responsible for data center practice (L4-L7), increase profitability and market share in DC practice through the global partner communities, and manage the technical enablement strategy for the global channel partners. His most recent interest led him to join Cisco WAAS Product Marketing organization, where his initial responsibility was to define Go-to-Market strategy for WAN optimization solution for customers, partners, and Cisco sales organization as well as managing the business development of WAN Opt for US, Canada, and Europe theatres. Joseph has written (and co-authored) multiple technical and business whitepapers in the area of desktop virtualization (VDI) strategy, data center and virtualization, and branch network service integration and WAN optimization in borderless network strategy.

Personally, he is an outdoor enthusiast, sportsman and an ex chef. He currently resides in the Bay area.
