Erin Float is a Project Manager in the Security Research and Operations organization at Cisco. As a 7-year veteran of Cisco Security, Erin’s primary role involves the program management and delivery of Cisco’s semiannual disclosures of security vulnerabilities in Cisco IOS Software. Erin has also lent strategic planning assistance to preventative security initiatives and worked to drive security awareness in the development lifecycle of products and services.
Erin has degrees in English Literature and Women’s Studies from The Ohio State University and worked previously with a small venture capital firm. Although she certainly didn’t plan a career in information security, Erin couldn’t imagine a better fit for someone passionate about challenging work and endless opportunities for collaboration. Erin lives in Dublin, Ohio with her husband and enjoys maintaining work/life balance through shoe shopping, cooking, yoga, and treating two elderly cats and an 11-pound rescue dog like real children.
