Donnie Savage is the Routing TME at Cisco Systems. With a focus on improving the company’s leadership. Donnie is now driving Cisco’s Routing Teams to provide solutions meeting both today’s demands, with a strong customer focus on tomorrows networking needs. With customer driven focus, Donnie promoted a strategy to enable end-to-end solutions and increases availability and usability of Cisco platforms and technologies. Throughout his career, he has had a solid track record of technological innovation and a proven ability to adapt to diverse networking technologies. Donnie has successfully managed organizations in companies both large and small across multiple industries that are well known for harnessing technology for enhanced services, productivity gains, and competitive advantage.

Most recently Donnie held the position of Technical Leader for the Virtualization Infrastructure group delivering Container Support on the ASR platform. In Donnie’s past position as development lead for Service Routing Group, Donnie was responsible for the design and development of SAF, a service distribution protocol built around EIGRP. Current innovations in Service Routing are pushing the adoption of industry standard protocols coupled with client side application to achieve configuration-less application deployment and target discovery. Previous positions at Cisco included Manger of the Distance Vector Routing Protocols Group, and Technical Leader for development of EIGRP and IP-RIP protocols, directly participating feature design and delivery. With customer driven focus, Donnie promoted a strategy to enable end-to-end solutions and increases availability and usability of Cisco platforms and technologies.
