Senior Vice President and General Manager Sports and Entertainment Solutions Group (SESG) Cisco
David Holland serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Sports and Entertainment Solutions Group (SESG) at Cisco. In his role, Holland has overall responsibility for accelerating development and adoption of Cisco solutions in the Sports and Entertainment market. Cisco has targeted the Sports and Entertainment industry as a $1B market opportunity, and it is one of the company’s top Market Adjacencies.
As general manager of SESG, Holland oversees a team responsible for the development, management, and delivery of Cisco Sports and Entertainment solutions that are transforming the fan experience in sports and entertainment around the world.
Holland joined Cisco in 1998. During his tenure, he has participated in a wide variety of internal councils and boards responsible for Cisco’s success in the Sports and Entertainment, Connected Real Estate, and Safety and Security Market Adjacencies. Holland’s participation on these internal councils and boards included helping to set the vision and strategy for Cisco in these key Market Adjacencies.
His participation has resulted in the incubation and development of a number of Cisco solutions including Cisco StadiumVision™, Cisco ®Smart + Connected Real Estate Solution, and Cisco Safety and Security solutions targeted at the education and government sector.
Holland’s proven leadership and experience, particularly in driving the success of the Sports and Entertainment Market Adjacency, play a key role in his leadership of the SESG at Cisco.
During his tenure at Cisco, Holland has also served in other key leadership positions. Until recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Cisco. In this role, he was responsible for Treasury, Tax, Real Estate and Facilities Management and Risk Management.
Before joining Cisco, he worked for Paribas Capital Markets, heading a group that advised and transacted with multinational corporations, central banks, and hedge funds.
Prior to that, he worked for Apple Computer, Inc., where during a 10-year tenure he served in manufacturing finance, corporate finance, and treasury divisions.
Holland holds a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in business administration from San Jose State University.
