Brett Wingo is the senior vice president of the Software, Systems and Operations group for Cisco’s Services organization. He is responsible for global operations, as well as the automation, analytics, systems and infrastructure that optimize and enhance Cisco’s Services business. His team’s mission centers on providing great experiences for customers, partners and service delivery professionals to increase customer satisfaction and Cisco’s profitable growth.

Since joining Cisco in 2009, Wingo has served as the vice president and general manager for Cisco’s Service Provider Infrastructure businesses, including the routing, cable and optical business units; the Cable Access business unit; and Cisco’s Home Networking group, where he held end-to-end P&L responsibility for all aspects of the Linksys business. Wingo is known as an innovative and trusted leader, and he thrives on incubating and growing start-up technologies into large businesses, transforming operations to turn around businesses, and using data and analytics to improve operations.

A 30-year veteran of the Silicon Valley technology industry, Wingo started his career with Apple serving in global technical, business, operations and engineering roles. Following Apple, Wingo helped found and build a network data storage company. After the successful sale of that business, Wingo joined the executive team of a start-up that created the real-time location systems market, where he drove the operational transformation from a technology company into a profitable global solution and services provider. Following a merger, he served as a division vice president, leading the acquisition and integration of hardware and software companies into a new business group focused on building the location solutions market.

Wingo holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
