Barry Fox, Director of Instructional Technology, is starting his 11th year as an educator and his 2nd year with Denton ISD. Throughout his career, Mr. Fox has served north Texas students in a variety of ways: a teacher, an instructional dean, and a campus administrator at both the middle school and high school levels. For two years, he served as the high school principal of Northwest ISD’s summer school program and most recently, he was a campus administrator at Byron Nelson High where he focused on integrating technology in the classroom.

Prior to joining Northwest ISD, he was an assistant principal at Long Middle School in Carrollton-Farmers Branch. He has also served as a choir director for Ector County ISD in Odessa, TX and Barbara Bush Middle School in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD.

He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from Abilene Christian University. His administration certification was granted from the University of North Texas and he is currently working on his doctorate at NOVA Southeastern University in Florida.

In addition to his post-secondary studies, Barry is also a graduate of the National Institute of School Leadership principal professional development program. Barry’s wife, Jennifer, is a high school orchestra director. They have a beautiful 2 year old daughter, Audrey, who will be a proud Denton ISD graduate, class of 2029! In addition to being a techno geek, educator, student, husband, and father, Barry is an avid choral music enthusiast, Nebraska Cornhusker football fan, and helps his wife raise and show Yorkshire terriers.
