Barry Bruins is a nineteen year veteran of Cisco Systems where he has worked on routers, switches and network management systems.  He is a co-inventor of netflow data export, the most prevalent network accounting and network forensics tooling for the Internet.  Barry leads the Trustworthy Systems Initiative in Cisco's Security and Government Group which provides reusable technology for anti-counterfeit, secure identity and secure development practices for Cisco.

Barry has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, from Cal Poly State University, San Luis Obispo.  He lives in Los Altos, California where he loves to referee youth soccer and hike in the Sierra Nevada.
