Seth Hanford is an Incident Manager for Cisco PSIRT, one of multiple groups that are part of Cisco Security Intelligence Operations. The Cisco Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) is a dedicated, global team that manages the receipt, investigation, and public reporting of security vulnerability information that is related to Cisco products and networks.

Seth is the Chair of the Common Vulnerability Scoring System Special Interest Group (CVSS-SIG) at FIRST, where he is coordinating the effort to develop v3 of that specification. He has previously worked on v2 of CVSS, and continues to work with the SIG to bring continual improvement in the effectiveness, adoption, and use of the CVSS standard.

He holds the CISSP certification, a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, and a M.S. in Information Assurance.
