Patrick Peterson joined IronPort Systems in 2000 and defined IronPort's email security appliances and invented IronPort's SenderBase, the industry's first reputation service. In 2008, after Cisco's acquisition of IronPort, Peterson became a Cisco Fellow, a position that is reserved for individuals whose technical contribution has made a material impact not only within Cisco, but also in the industry as a whole. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences, including RSA, Gartner, Networkers and AusCert. Prior to joining IronPort, Peterson served as Vice President, Engineering Operations at Savi Technology, a leading provider of RFID solutions.
