Murali Nemani currently serves as Senior Director of Service Provider Mobility Marketing at Cisco. In this role, he has global responsibility for marketing Cisco's Mobile Internet solutions into mobile and integrated operators. Murali’s focus areas include Mobile Cloud, Evolved Packet Core, Unified RAN Backhaul and SP Wifi/Small Cell.
Prior to this role, Murali ran global marketing for Cisco’s multi-billion dollar SP Video portfolio that targeted cable and telecom operators. He was instrumental in Cisco’s launch of Videoscape as a technology offer to re-define the Television experience together with Service Providers. His portfolio focus spanned Media Data Centers, CDNs, Cable Access and Next-Gen devices. Prior to joining Cisco in 2008, Murali held a variety of positions with Alcatel in marketing and portfolio strategy. In these positions, he was focused on strategy development for the multimedia applications division targeting high-growth segments, including advanced advertising and content sharing/distribution. He also led Alcatel's global Triple Play & IPTV marketing program while based in Paris - seeding the market and helping Alcatel establish a billion dollar revenue engine.
Murali holds an MBA in Management from Michigan State and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering. He was named to the Multichannel News 2009 '40 Under 40' list of movers and shakers who are helping their companies grow and succeed, while playing an important part in mapping the future of telecommunications.
