Director, IoT and Digital Industries Communications, Cisco

Marc Musgrove is Cisco’s Communications Director for the Internet of Things and Digital Industries, covering external communications of Cisco’s solutions for key vertical markets from manufacturing, financial service, retail, energy and public sector. He is based in Sacramento, Northern California.

Marc joined Cisco in 2001, and has held a variety of communications leadership roles. He moved to the US in 2007 to form a global PR function at Cisco, taking on responsibility for the global alignment of Cisco’s ‘one voice’ communications strategy, and directing external communications for EVP Wim Elfrink and Cisco’s Emerging Solutions Group including Cisco’s initiatives for Smart Cities, Safety and Security and Sports and Entertainment.

Previously, Marc was head of technology public relations for Cisco in Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in London.

He previously worked as Group Account Director for Banner Corporation plc, an integrated marketing agency within the WPP Group of companies, directing pan-European communications campaigns for technology clients including Cap Gemini, Shiva Corporation and Borland.

Musgrove received his first class honors degree in Modern Languages from the University of Bristol, majoring jointly in French and German.

A keen outdoorsman, he enjoys kayaking, surfing, skiing and mountain biking. He lives in El Dorado County, Calif., with his wife and two daughters.
