Jonathan Kessler directs the Security Advocates program at Cisco Systems. He is focused on building communities of practice to facilitate improvements in network security and quality. He balances this cross-functional outreach with the development of training materials for product security and with hands-on involvement in security baselines and requirements.
Jonathan graduated with a B.A. in Environmental Science and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology. He has strong interest and involvement in learning theory, network security, and in the physics of music. He lives in the redwood forest outside of Santa Cruz with his wife and son, and in his spare time plays bass and percussion in a variety of Bay Area bands.
