IT Customer Strategy & Success
Jawahar Sivasankaran, is a Senior Manager in the IT Customer Strategy & Success organization. He spends most of his time directly interfacing with Cisco global customers advising them on a wide range of topics including IT Strategy, Governance and Technology best practices.
Jawahar is a regular speaker at Cisco and other industry events. His responsibilities include engagements with customers to share best practices. He is a recipient of the "Above and Beyond" customer engagement award from John Chambers, Chairman and CEO of Cisco, for his work with key customers.
In the 10 years he has been with Cisco, Jawahar has held various Management and Engineering positions.Before joining Cisco, he worked in a Product Development role at SSE Telecom, a Satellite Gateway startup. Jawahar started his career in Internet and Service Provider business at Sify (Satyam Infoway), India's first private ISP.
Jawahar is active in the community, serving in the Board of a Non Profit and leading the Technology track for Silicon Valley Civic Council at Cisco. He is engaged in work related to Social Intrapreneurship and Skills Based Volunteering within Corporations.
Jawahar holds an MBA from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania
He has also attended various Business and Executive education programs, receiving credentials in Finance, Technology Leadership and Project Management.His Technical qualifications include multiple Cisco Certified Internet Expert certifications and other industry credentials. He also holds a Masters degree in Information Systems Management and a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
