This is a member-driven organization of e-learning professionals that use webinars for showcasing the latest ideas from a range of expert speakers. Their hour-long webinars teach new techniques and strategies. The monthly events are recorded so users can view them at their leisure. For example, on January 17, 2012, “The Secrets to Rapid eLearning Success” dealt with keeping up with the latest technological demands and producing effective e-learning.
An online community interested in the process or the ability to engage people in understanding ideas, not the final product, uses webinars to educated people about visual thinking and about other topics, like “Journalism in the Age of Data.” They have set up a nice page with easy access to their series of webinars that are free to the public. This is a great way to help people find your library and see what you have to offer.
An independent, nonprofit, PetSmart Charities uses online webinars to train volunteers and staff working to help animals. On Monday morning, I was at Claremont High School, in Harrow, London, watching as one of the architects responsible for building the Olympic stadium kept a class of 13 year olds enthralled about the design and engineering challenges involved.
Jo Smith from the firm Buro Happold was taking a lesson from Cisco’s Out of the Blocks StemNet programme bringing real world examples of how lessons about chemical structure; mathematics and physics were all very much challenges the stadium designers and builders has to overcome when designing the stadium and other venues for this summer’s Olympics.

The WPA data encryption protocol you choose depends on your wireless network’s needs
It’s critically important to secure your wireless networks, but security can be complex, particularly when it comes to configuring each network component appropriately. A smart place to start is with the wireless router, which connects your local area network (LAN) to the Internet. Routers allow you to encrypt data as it travels in and out of your network, making it much more difficult to be read or altered by hackers trying to steal confidential information. Most small business routers let you choose which data encryption protocol you want to use, but in order to make the best choice for your network, you need to understand the differences between encryption protocols.
